WE ARE SO GLAD TO BE BACK TO PATIENT CARE AND HAVING YOU AND YOUR FAMILY BACK. IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST LEVEL of CARE IN THE SAFEST MANNER WE HAVE ESTABLISHED THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES. THESE STEPS ARE ESTABLISHED TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE AND PROVIDE A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT.

We will call 2 days before the visit to take a history that includes the reason for the visit and other required information. Please be sure to have the following information with you:

  • a list of your medications including dosages if any and your doctor’s name. If you are taking any medications for diabetes please have your last A1c reading and who is treating you.
  • have your insurance information handy including medical insurance cards and if you have a separate vision that information also.
  • provide us with your cell phone number and an email address. Please bring your cell to the office this is for communication and not be given to anyone.
  • all payments are made using credit cards to again ensure your safety. 5) to reduce traffic in-office patients should come alone. Children must be accompanied by one parent or guardian.

THE DAY OF YOUR VISIT

Please enter our parking lot and call the office from your cell phone. Please wait in your car until we call you. PLEASE do not come to the door until we call you in. You must wear a mask to enter the building so please put on your mask after leaving your car.

Once at the door, we will greet you and take your temperature and oxygen levels. You will then disinfect or wash your hands. Please refrain from touching any surfaces in the office if possible.

The technician will then take you to the pretesting room or exam room which has been thoroughly disinfected after each use according to established guidelines from our state association.

We will then start the examination. I am very proud to inform you that we have added several new state of the art instruments which allow us to examine our patients without physical contact in many cases, as well as meeting social distancing protocols.

Next if required we can escort you to our new optical area. Again keeping to new protocols each frame and measuring devices are disinfected according to regulations. We are excited to add an online viewing system that allows patients to select frames and should be operational soon.

After the visit is completed, you can return to your car and go over any billing questions you may have. We will set up a time for picking up materials. We now are pleased to offer curbside delivery of materials if desired. All contact lenses can be directly shipped to your home. Dr. Cauchard will review your exam with you by cell phone if you wish.

All these procedures are to keep you safe and provide the best experience in our office. We are sure that this will give you the same personalized care you have always experienced in the past. We are all looking forward to seeing you again.
